These collages are an expression of the mental ebb and flow of female sexual
desire. The resilience of the desire or the defeat of it? There is always a tug of
war. One of the main artistic pursuits in my work as a visual artist is an enquiry
into how desire is constructed in women. One of the ways in which it is
constructed is via an armoury of ancient texts and societal beliefs which are
predominantly based on duties and fears. My question is do desires survive
inspite of fears? I call it: 'the long overdue flight of the female genitalia'
